Fox Run Lemberger (Finger Lakes)
Fox Run Lemberger (Finger Lakes)
One of the Finger Lakes' strongest red grapes, Lemberger presents exceptionally well as a young wine and also has serious aging potential.
Aromas of fresh blackberries, raspberry jam, and a suggestion of black pepper are followed by rich plum and red cherry flavors that evolve to sweet vanilla. Moderate tannins mark this as an excellent food wine.
The 2017 Lemberger was awarded a gold medal at the Indy International Wine Competition. Enjoy!
Located in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country, Fox Run overlooks one of the deepest parts of Seneca Lake, with fifty acres of vineyards producing a remarkable range of fine wines. The first grapes were planted in 1984 and the Civil War-era dairy barn was converted to a modern wine-making facility in 1990.
At Fox Run Vineyards, our goal is to provide visitors with one of the best winery experiences in the region. Our belief is that this experience encompasses not only the quality of our wines and beauty of our vineyard and tasting room, but also an educational opportunity presented to all visitors and the quality of service provided during each and every visit.
