Highwayman wines are produced by Highway 12 wines, from grower-partners’ special blocks. The final blends are selected from top barrel lots and produced in small lots. They are powerful, big and scarce.

“Trailblazer” is a blend of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.

TASTING NOTES
Blackberry and blueberry nuances take center stage here, making way for the supportive tannins and a touch of oak to provide a smoky cedar hint (14 months barrel aged). The mighty Zinfandel's ripe berry coupled with the fortitude of the Petite Sirah produces the perfect blend of yin and yang here, creating a sturdy balance.

Sip it with an umami dish of  duck confit spring rolls, with chili dipping sauce.
